FISCAL NOTE
This bill contains an appropriation of $1,100 from the GENERAL FUND to the University of Wyoming to fund 2 additional first-year medical students in the WWAMI medical education program for FY 2006.

Source of expenditure increase:
Increase in WWAMI medical education program class size from 10 students to 12 students.
Assumptions:
For planning purposes, it is assumed that contract costs at the University of Washington for the WWAMI program will increase 3% each year.
The cost to add 2 additional students in FY 2006 is $1,100, and is funded by the appropriation in the bill.
The cost increase for FY 2007 is estimated at $131,332. This amount includes funding the second year class from FY 2006 and 2 additional entering students in FY 2007.
The bill requires the University of Wyoming to include in its budget request for the 2007-08 biennium sufficient funding to sustain the size of each class at 12 students.
