FISCAL NOTE

 

This bill contains an appropriation of $560,000 from the BUDGET RESERVE ACCOUNT to the Wyoming Health Care Commission for studies pertaining to health care errors, insurance reform, risk retention groups and on the effects of caps on non-economic damages.

 

This bill contains an appropriation of $50,000 from the BUDGET RESERVE ACCOUNT to the Insurance Commissioner for assisting with actuarial studies.

 

This bill contains an appropriation of $40,000 from the GENERAL FUND to the Department of Health (Office of Rural Health) for a study on physician demographics.

 

This bill contains an appropriation of $2,000 from the GENERAL FUND to the Legislative Service Office for support of adding 2 legislators to the Wyoming Health Care Commission for purposes of the studies.

 

All of the appropriations listed above are effective immediately.
