AN ACT relating to professions and occupations; providing for the licensure of persons engaging

in funeral services; providing definitions; creating a funeral service board; specifying membership;

providing duties and powers of the board; specifying compensation; creating an account; specifying

 license and permit requirements; providing for nonresident licenses; requiring display of license or

permit; providing for renewal; exempting licensees and permittees from jury duty; exempting certain

persons from compliance; limiting liabilities; providing for cremation; providing for the removal of

human remains; authorizing the leasing of caskets; requiring records; specifying prohibited acts;

providing penalties; providing for disciplinary actions and appeals; recognizing licenses and

permits under prior law; providing for the transfer of funds; making conforming amendments; and

providing for an effective date.
