Temporary vehicle registrations

Assumptions:

1. This bill establishes the purchase of a temporary decal for a flat fee as an alternative to the temporary vehicle registration described in W.S. 31-2-206(m).

2. The fees proposed in this bill are deposited in the county general fund.

3. It is assumed temporary workers will purchase this alternative decal, resulting in the revenue decrease to the Highway Fund shown in the table above.

4. Assumed average temporary vehicle registered is 3 years old with an average factory price of $15,000.

5. This bill doubles the time availability for temporary permits from 90 days to 180 days.
