Occupational therapy services are currently provided under the Medicaid State Plan through rehabilitation service providers, waiver providers, developmental centers and home health agencies. The addition of independent occupational therapists as a provider group would likely increase expenditures but the exact impact cannot be determined, and probably would not be significant.
