FEDERAL FUNDS

(150,000)

(150,000)

Source of revenue increase:

Fee increase from $200/pkg to $1500/ truck and/or railcar load

Assumptions:

1)       Calculations based on the difference between current fee and proposed fee ($200/package and $1500/truck and/or railcar)

2)       Calculations based on 300 trucks/year for FY 2004/2005 and 350 trucks/year for FY 2006.

3)       Calculations based only on projected Waste Isolation Pilot Plant shipments (transuranic waste). Additional shipments from other sources will increase these values.

4)       An increase in available funds will be used for procurement of additional training, equipment and supplies to support the program activities as identified in this legislation.

Source of revenue decrease:

Loss of grant due to expectation the Department of Energy will require program support by funds collected.

Based on previous discussions with the Department of Energy, there is an expectation that grant funding will decrease with increased collection of emergency response fees.
