Source of expenditure increase:

 

Installation and establishment of electronic transfer of donor information.

 

Assumptions:

 

  1. Donations for organ donor education activities are currently authorized by W.S.35-5-118.  There is currently about $10,000 in this account.

 

  1. The bill provides the Department of Transportation will program a download of information.  The cost of the programming is to be charged to the Department of Health Organ Donation Education Fund.

 

3.  The cost of programming will be a one time expense.  The estimate given by DOT Drivers Licensing section to the Wyoming Cares / Wyoming Shares organ and tissue donation education team is estimated to be less than $2000.  Existing funds in the Organ Donation education fund are adequate to accommodate the expenditure.
