The fiscal impact, in the form of expenditure increases from the General Fund, is indeterminable.

 

 

Source of expenditure increase:

 

This bill expands the veteran’s exemption to include all veterans who served in Vietnam between February 28, 1961 and August 4, 1964.

 

Assumptions:

 

While it is assumed that this bill will increase the number of veterans qualified for exemption and therefore increase the amount of reimbursement to the counties from the General Fund, the number of affected veterans cannot be estimated. For 2002, 9,018 veteran’s exemptions were granted in the amount of $915,081.
