NON-ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACT

Anticipated Revenue Increase:

ENTERPRISE FUND

10,000

15,000

15,000

Source of Revenue Increase:

Fees for special events

Assumptions:

All funds received from special event fees shall be deposited in a special events account within the Enterprise Fund.  The funds deposited within the account are continuously appropriated to and may be expended by the Department to conduct special events directly or pursuant to contracts.

The legislation allows the Department to waive the regular park fees, charge an event fee, deposit those event fees into an enterprise account and pay the costs of the event from that enterprise account.  There would be no decrease in any state fund because the Department is already waiving these fees for events, and non-profit groups collect event fees, deposit those revenues in their bank accounts, and then pay for the costs of the event.
